Our Ministries

At Living Faith United Methodist Church, our ministries are the heartbeat of who we are and how we live out our faith. Each ministry is an invitation to grow deeper in our relationship with God, to build meaningful connections with one another, and to serve our neighbors with compassion and grace.

Our ministries span all ages and stages of life and reflect our call to live our faith beyond the walls of the church. Through worship, music, outreach, fellowship, learning, and service, we seek to create spaces where everyone is welcomed, valued, and encouraged to use their gifts. Whether you are looking for a place to serve, a community to belong to, or an opportunity to grow spiritually, there is a ministry here for you.

We believe ministry is not about perfection, but about participation. Together, we strive to show the love of Jesus Christ in practical, meaningful ways—supporting one another, caring for those in need, and sharing God’s hope with the world. Adult Sunday School

Adult Sunday School at our Ipswich Campus is a welcoming space for adults to grow in faith, ask questions, and deepen their understanding of Scripture and Christian living. This is a lay-led class, shaped by the gifts, experiences, and insights of members of our congregation. We gather every Sunday evening at 7:00 PM, and the class is offered both in person and virtually, making it easy to participate wherever you are. Throughout the year, we explore a variety of different studies, including Bible studies and faith-based topics that encourage thoughtful conversation, spiritual growth, and connection with one another. Whether you are new to the faith or have been walking with God for many years, all are welcome to join this meaningful time of learning and fellowship.

Bible Study

Our Bible Study at the Beverly Campus offers an opportunity to explore Scripture in a thoughtful and meaningful way. Led by our pastor, this study meets every Wednesday at 10:00 AM and is offered both in person at our Beverly Campus and virtually, making it accessible to all. Together, we take deep dives into Scripture, examining the text closely, asking questions, and reflecting on how God’s Word speaks to our lives today. Whether you are new to Bible study or have studied Scripture for many years, you are warmly invited to join this time of learning, discussion, and spiritual growth.

Outreach Committee

The Outreach Committee at our church is all about living our faith beyond the walls of the sanctuary. We believe that the church is called not only to gather for worship, but also to go out into the community to serve, love, and respond to the needs around us.

One of the central ministries of our Outreach Committee is our community dinners, held on Wednesday and Thursday evenings. These dinners offer nourishment, hospitality, and connection for neighbors who may be experiencing food insecurity, loneliness, or simply in need of a welcoming place to gather. Everyone is greeted with dignity, respect, and an open heart.

In addition to these weekly meals, the Outreach Committee supports and coordinates a variety of ministries and service opportunities throughout the year. This includes responding to local and global needs, partnering with community organizations, organizing collections and drives, and supporting outreach efforts that reflect Christ’s love in practical ways.

If it happens outside the walls of the church, it falls within the heart and mission of Outreach. Whether through hands-on service, advocacy, generosity, or relationship-building, our Outreach Committee seeks to be the hands and feet of Jesus in the world.

All are welcome to participate. Whether you have time to serve, ideas to share, or a passion for helping others, there is a place for you in this ministry.

AV Team

Our AV Team plays a vital role in supporting worship by helping create a welcoming and meaningful experience for everyone—both in the sanctuary and online. This ministry assists with sound, video, livestreaming, and other technology that helps worship flow smoothly and keeps our community connected.

All are welcome to join the AV Team. No prior experience is required—training and support are provided. If you enjoy technology, like learning new skills, or want to serve behind the scenes in an important way, this is a wonderful opportunity.

Outreach Dinner Program

Our Outreach Dinner Program is a meaningful ministry dedicated to sharing God’s love by helping feed those in need in our community. Each Wednesday evening, we come together to prepare and serve a warm, welcoming meal for neighbors who may be experiencing food insecurity or loneliness.

All are welcome to be part of this ministry. Whether you would like to help cook, serve, set up, clean up, or simply offer hospitality, every helping hand makes a difference. This program is a powerful way to live out our faith through service, compassion, and community.

Choir

Our Choir is a joyful and welcoming ministry that leads our congregation in worship through music. We sing a variety of sacred music that supports and enriches our mostly traditional worship, offering our gifts in praise to God and in service to the church.

All are welcome to join—no matter your experience level. Whether you have sung in choirs for years or are simply curious about sharing your voice, there is a place for you here. The choir is a wonderful way to grow in faith, build community, and participate more deeply in worship.

Men's Breakfast

Our Men’s Breakfast meets on the first and third Saturday of each month at the Rowley Pancake House. This is a welcoming and relaxed gathering where men come together to share a meal, build friendships, and grow in faith. Each breakfast includes time for prayer and thoughtful Scripture study, offering space for encouragement, honest conversation, and spiritual growth. Whether you are new to the church or have been part of the community for years, you are invited to join us for good food, meaningful fellowship, and faith-centered conversation.

United Women in Faith

United Women in Faith (formerly known as United Methodist Women) is a vibrant and welcoming ministry of learning, prayer, and service. This group brings women together to grow in faith, support one another, and live out God’s call to love and justice in the world.

United Women in Faith meets on the third Thursday of every month and is offered in a hybrid format, gathering in person at our Ipswich campus and online via Google Meet. This flexible format allows women to participate in the way that works best for them while staying connected to the life of the group. Each gathering includes time for fellowship, prayer, spiritual growth, and meaningful conversation, often centered on faith, mission, and service. The group is committed to supporting ministries locally and beyond, encouraging women to put their faith into action.

All women are warmly invited to join—whether you are new to the church, returning after some time away, or looking for a deeper connection and purpose. Come be part of a community that seeks to grow together in faith and make a difference in the world.
